2017 Open Day

SATURDAY 20 May (10 am - 3 pm) Bring your friends and family and discover your local Buddhist community. Highlights of the day include: public talk with the Tibetan Lama (11am); guided tours, free Buddhist books; mindfulness meditations; family activities and prayer flag making; question & answer session (2pm) and blessings with holy Buddhist relics. Our famous spicy chai tea will be served free all day.

Langri Tangpa Centre is a Buddhist teaching and meditation centre founded in 1982. The program includes both Buddhist teachings and non-religious classes on ethics, meditation and emotional balance.

Mind Training Like the Rays of the Sun

with Geshe Phuntsok Tsultrim

Teachings for learning how to work with difficult situations and people with compassion and wisdom. The mind training teachings are concerned with developing the altruistic mind of enlightenment, and deal with transforming our mental attitudes, especially with how to transform adversity into advantage. Not only do these instructions help us open our heart towards others, they also help us transform whatever difficulties come our way into something valuable.

Great Enlightenment - Three Kayas

The first of a series of Sunday teachings on the profound and inspiring topic of the three bodies of a buddha - the ultimate nature, the emanating light body and the human form we can relate with. Included in this topic is going for refuge, and an investigation off the nature of the mind and our innate buddha potential. Everyone welcome, recommended for established students and the committed beginner.
