The class will end with an informal discussion, tea and biscuits. Nothing too studious - just a peaceful and meaningful way to spend a Sunday morning!

Guided Meditation
Vajrasattva Cleansing
Guided meditation on the cleansing and purification practice of Vajrasattva. This is a method to cleanse our negativities and overcome our destructive habit patterns. This technique removes the negative imprints they make on our mind, so that they can no longer ripen into experiences of unhappiness and suffering.

About the Class
This class came about from repeated requests from students, asking "how do I actually do this purification?" and "I need some practice at it". It is an introductory class tailored for the beginner. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend. Each class introduces a new aspect of the practice. They include a presentation on the topic, a guided meditation, and time for questions.

Mindfulness Meditation

Guided Meditation
Cultivating Mindfulness
Mindfulness can help us soothe the body, relax the uptight mind, and energise our awareness, so that we regain the sanity we are born with. This is a 7-week block of guided meditations led by Chris Kang, suitable for all who seek a more stable serenity and relaxed wholeness, whether you are Buddhists or not.

Chris draws from the pure textual and practice traditions of the Buddha Dhamma, using ancient Pali suttas (discourses) and Indo-Tibetan texts on mindfulness that were either directly taught by the Buddha himself or by the awakened teachers that followed him. Chris will also use a rare text by the 7th Dalai Lama called "The Song of the Four Mindfulnesses".
