On-going
intermediate class
Lam Rim Meditations
Guided meditations on fundamental Buddhist topics like developing
loving kindness, overcoming anger, transforming negative situations,
and remembering our unique human opportunity. Some
of the meditations use specific Buddhist imagery, others use psychological
techniques to investigate and change our negative habit patterns
and assumptions, and yet others are transformative, allowing us
to re-acquaint ourselves with our natural inner goodness and intelligence.
About the Class
These are in-depth meditations on various
topics along the Buddhist path to enlightenment. Some nights are
more challenging or complicated, other nights are blissfully and
inspiringly simple. For this reason it is recomended for intermediate
students or for the committed beginner. It is an opportunity to
deepen your practice and become familiar with these crucial meditations.
A different senior western student leads the meditation each week,
sharing their personal experience.
